Taking advantage of new B2B opportunities with APIs

CSX’s rail and intermodal businesses encompass about 20,000 miles of track in 26 states, the District of Columbia, and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. To continue expanding business and innovating, CSX started looking at opportunities to leverage APIs to make it easier for customers and partners to do business with them.


   


As part of its API strategy, CSX sought to eliminate monolithic architectures and create API experiences that benefited employees and customers alike. Through a secure and agile approach to APIs, the company has helped API developers be more productive while driving consistency across the business.
