Hello, my name is Victor Vandenberghe and we work for the company TotalEnergies, specifically in the trading and shipping division.

My name is Rindra Rafadiarimanda, and I also work with Victor in the trading and shipping division in Geneva for TotalEnergies. TotalEnergies is a major player in the energy sector, covering gas, oil, electricity and renewable energies.

We chose B2Bi because we had a very specific need for high availability, particularly related to gas and electricity balancing. Axway already met all the prerequisites in terms of security protocols, high availability, and support level. Axway was already ahead in terms of communication protocols with our partners, which is why it was already recommended by the market and by other branches of the company, in particular. In Europe, we work with around 30 partners who are electricity and gas transmission system operators.

B2Bi ensures the smooth flow of these critical exchanges. The number of messages can reach up to 70,000 per month, and this figure is constantly increasing due to the digitization of exchanges, the evolution of regulatory constraints, and the increase in our partners in Europe.

The gas and electricity sector never sleeps. Our business requires 24/7/365 availability to ensure uninterrupted exchanges with our partners. Initially, our B2Bi application was deployed on-premises.

Given the geopolitical context, it seemed clear to us that a second solution had to be put in place.

We initially implemented Axway B2Bi in a hybrid setup as a Disaster Recovery solution to ensure continuity in case of a failure of our on-prem systems and over time, we realized all the advantages that this solution could offer, both in terms of operational efficiency or for ultra high availability on our servers.

Qualitatively, the architecture offers greater reliability. For example, 100% of maintenance operations are now carried out on time, and we benefit from a fast response in case of incidents. With an uptime of 99.99%. Over the past year, this hybrid setup has demonstrated its quality of service and resilience.

As the business is convinced, the demand for integrating new use cases has significantly increased. We have been working in collaboration with Axway for over ten years on various strategic projects.
