Leading insurer supercharges its business
growth with dependable managed file
transfers in the cloud
This insurance company is one of the leading providers of annuities and life
insurance in the United States. Following a major corporate restructuring,
the clock was ticking for the company to build the systems and processes
to drive its business before its legacy systems were deactivated.
A spokesperson for the insurance company takes up the story: "We were
effectively becoming a brand-new company. Achieving this goal required
us to build front-to-back systems almost from scratch in a relatively short
period of time."
Ensuring secure collaboration
As a financial services organization, the insurer must collaborate with a wide
variety of stakeholders. These include internal teams in the organization, as well
as external groups such as banks, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies.
"Managed file transfer [MFT] plays a key role in our overall B2B integration
strategy, and so delivering these capabilities before the legacy systems were
switched off was a top priority," continues the spokesperson. "Without the
ability to exchange data with our partners securely and reliably 24 hours a
day, our business would simply grind to a halt. As a result, we were keen to
find an enterprise-class MFT solution that would give us the peace of mind
of round-the-clock availability."
Path to the cloud
At the same time, the insurer saw an opportunity to avoid the cost and
complexity of on-premises IT infrastructure by embracing managed services
in the cloud.
