Kenter ensures compliance with rigorous service-level objectives set by regulators

Kenter plays a key role in the energy sector of the Netherlands. As well as supplying electrical transmission infrastructure, the company delivers gas and electricity metering services for business customers across the country. This metering data is critical for other stakeholders in the utilities space. It enables power companies to bill customers in an accurate and timely manner, and allows generation companies to balance the electricity and gas grids.

Bernard Meijer, Product Specialist – Data at Kenter, explains: “Around 30 different industry partners rely on the metering data we collect from thousands of businesses across the Netherlands. By 10 a.m. every day, we must send this data to a central hub managed by TenneT, our energy transmission system operator, which then distributes the data to our partners.”
