This quarter, Amplify Fusion strengthens its foundation as a high-performance, AI-ready integration engine — adding centralized API design and governance, richer gRPC management, enterprise identity controls, and zero-downtime operations for hybrid and regulated environments.
Create, manage, and govern OpenAPI REST API specifications in a centralized workspace. Start from scratch or import an existing spec, maintain multiple versions, move designs through a review and approval workflow, and use published designs to create runtime APIs.
A new "Expose over" option (REST or gRPC) gives explicit control over whether a gRPC API is exposed as REST endpoints via gRPC JSON transcoding or proxied as a native gRPC client. Proto descriptors without HTTP annotations can be exposed as REST endpoints (RPC methods auto-mapped as POST, with an OAS generated automatically), a Service Endpoints view shows operations after ingestion, and all gRPC API types are now discoverable on Amplify Engage.
Map IdP attributes to Fusion roles and teams on every SSO login, including role upgrade/downgrade, with fallback to default roles and teams when matching is not configured or fails.
The former "Disable User Invite" option is extended and renamed; when enabled, all user management actions (Invite, Add, Edit, Block, Delete) move entirely to the IdP. Super Admins retain the ability to manage custom role definitions.
Support for opaque OAuth 2.0 tokens using Token Introspection (RFC 7662), enabling integration with IdPs that issue reference tokens, including Axway API Gateway v7, with configurable caching and centralized real-time validation.
Custom OAuth 2.0 refresh token endpoint
HTTP Client, OpenAPI Client, and gRPC Client connectors add an optional Refresh Token URL for Authorization Code flows.
Hex, Base64, and Base64URL conversion functions
New functions (HexToBase64, Base64ToHex, HexToBase64Url, Base64UrlToHex) for seamless transformation within integration flows.
Rolling upgrades deploy new pods while in-flight transactions complete, with graceful shutdown; Axway-managed shared data planes apply a one-hour grace period, and customer-managed data planes can customize grace period and shutdown behavior.
Fusion now runs under a non-SUPERUSER database account following the principle of least privilege, improving handling of triggers, foreign-key constraints, and tag resolution during bulk operations (import, versioning, deployment, clone).
A new Expand flow / Collapse flow button opens or closes all components on a canvas at once.
A new cards/table toggle adds a list view with filtering and sorting across multiple projects.
