Amplify Engage Q2 2026 feature updates

This quarter, Amplify Engage advances as the federated control point for an organization's API and AI ecosystem — adding first-class agentic discovery, expanded Marketplace flexibility, and stronger provider governance across consumer organizations.

Agentic and AI discovery

AI Agent registration and discovery

Register AI Agents in the Service Registry by importing an Agent Card, with a guided wizard that auto-extracts service metadata, then publish to the Marketplace via the standard Asset > Product flow, with filtering by AI Agent (A2A) type.

MCP discovery

Inclusion of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore – AWS SaaS and on-premise agents can discover MCP services from an Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway and register them in the Service Registry for publication to the Marketplace.

A2A service documentation

The Marketplace and API Service wizard now support service-level documentation for Agent-to-Agent (A2A) API services.

Marketplace experience and monetization

Custom plan type

Create plans with negotiated (external) pricing; pricing fields are disabled and surfaces display "Custom," with the standard subscription and approval workflow.

Sample icon

Expanded mTLS support

Marketplace natively supports mTLS certificate-based credentials, with real-time validation of format, expiration, and signing chain, parsed metadata display, and per-environment control over self-signed certificates.

Token endpoint for service accounts

A Marketplace token endpoint (POST /api/v1/auth/token) lets consumer-org service accounts obtain access tokens via their Marketplace vanity URL.

Sample icon

Branding and navigation

Fully manageable/stylable “Sign In” button, and custom "From" email addresses for Marketplace notifications for a consistent, branded experience.

Sample icon

Partial API exposure

Providers can expose a selected subset of an API specification in the published asset/product without altering the full specification in the Service Registry.

Sample icon

Advanced search and discoverability

State and Stage columns in Advanced Search, and Google Search Console crawling/indexing for public Marketplaces.

Provider governance and identity

Sample icon

Provider management of consumer organizations

Engage Administrators can create, update, and manage applications, subscriptions, and credentials within consumer organizations without Platform Admin privileges, supporting v7 migration and bulk onboarding.

Sample icon

Service-level documentation

Add and manage documentation directly at the service level, complementing product-level documentation.

Sample icon

Configurable credential expiry per IdP

Define a credential expiry time when creating an Identity Provider, overriding environment-level settings for that IdP.

Sample icon

Service Registry sync status

"In Sync," "Out of Sync," and "Manual" badges indicate whether a service still exists on the associated dataplane, with safer manual delete handling.

Sample icon

Unified OAuth credential provisioning

Generate a single OAuth credential granting access to both an MCP server and its underlying v7 Gateway API; revoking removes access to both.

Agent ecosystem

New and enhanced discovery agents

Updates include IBM webMethods (search API, hostname override, rate limiting), MuleSoft Anypoint (business unit/environment filters), Azure (Entra ID URI format, scoped Graph permissions), Apigee X, Sensedia 4.x, SAP Integration Suite, and Axway API Management (OKTA group/policy population, cross-environment credential provisioning, on-demand transaction sampling per API/environment).
